Knaphill TALK Team Mayor's Choice for High Sheriff's Award

Mayor of Woking, Will Forster, had no hesitation in nominating Knaphill TALK for a High Sheriff’s Award in recognition of their ‘great and valuable services to the community’. Approaching their 20th year of impactful activity, TALK currently welcomes some 20 stroke-recoverers supported by 24 volunteers at the Vyne Centre, and many were present to celebrate with Evelyne, Volunteer Group Leader, as she received the certificate;

It was also great that Alison Wainwright (right), Group Coordinator, and Sharon Spurdle (left), Main TALK Coordinator for Surrey, were able to receive special thanks from the Mayor and High Sheriff for all of their dedication and hard work over the years. Knaphill TALK supports people with aphasia through the delivery of specially designed weekly activity sessions (reinforced by excellent tea and cakes!)
