I felt very privileged to see the amazing work undertaken by Surrey Womens support center in Woking. With a very small but hugely dedicated team, and limited funding, the center helps around 350 women in the year. The services they provide are much needed and the work of the small charity, Women In prison, who run the center together with Woking Borough Council who support the project is essential.
Thank you to St Catherine School Bramley for an annual celebration of music by the very talented students and staff. It was a glorious evening, and Bill, as Vice Lord Lieutenant and I were grateful to be able to enjoy the evening .
It was a great honour to be part of this wonderful Event last night, held at the Gatwick Crowne Plaza. A gathering of so many amazing people within the Community who were nominated as Heroes. Each of the 9 categories had 3 finalists and I had the priviledge of presenting the 999 Award to winners PC Magalena Strycharska and PC Tara Bernard of Sussex Police. Huge thanks must go to BBC Sussex & BBC Surrey for arranging such a fabulous evening and bringing together such an amazing group of people.

of the fund there.
