Skillway – Teaching Skills to Disadvantaged or Disengaged Young People in Surrey.

Skillway take young people who are struggling with education and being at school and build their confidence by teaching metalwork, Woodwork and crafts. This is done by day release for a day per week for a full academic year. The results are outstanding with young people managing to stay in education and keep their lives on track at a vulnerable time. They also learn valuable skills about how to interact with teachers and work colleagues, not to mention some useful trade skills that be the start of a well paid career in skilled work.
