Royal Holloway 20th Anniversary Reception

The splendid Founders Picture Gallery was the location of this Reception on the 15th of February which marked the twentieth anniversary of volunteers associated with the University. A large number of people who were, or had been, involved with the voluntary work since it began, and the leader and Chair of SCC, were warmly welcomed by the Host, Vice Principal Tracey Bhamra. The Principal, Professor Julie Sanders, gave the keynote address, followed by the Lord Lieutenant of Surrey, Michael More-Molyneux, who congratulated everyone for their outstanding work for the community.

There is so much need, and volunteers are often a lifeline for people. The University makes a large contribution to the well-being of the people of Surrey by the admirable work its students and alumni perform. Phil Simcock, the Royal Holloway Volunteering Manager addressed the audience, and he is to be congratulated upon his 17 years of leading this work so successfully.
