Downview Prison Training facilities.

I enjoyed an excellent visit to Downview Prison. It was a privilege to walk round the prison and visit the high-quality training facilities including the Clink (happy memories of being a Clink trustee for 10 years); Snappy Snaps (more wonderful work from the Timpson Family) and finally the clothes workshop run in partnership with UAL. I learned a lot about the huge efforts to support the women prisoners to enable them to lead flourishing lives on release. Big issues with trauma and mental health compassionately dealt with. Thanks to Katie Hyneman and John Fraser for showing me around and thank you to the Governor Amy Dixon for hosting lunch and a lively discussion with the senior leadership team.
