Surrey Magistrates AGM

The High Sheriff was pleased to attend the AGM of the Surrey Magistrates Association. The AGM itself was expertly run by HHJ Robert Fraser and was followed by a superb and well evidenced talk by Professor Nick Hardwick of Royal Holloway (previously chief inspector of prisons ) on the state of our Prisons. In summary worrying and, on balance, not working well.
