Mayor of Surrey Heath Chooses Alzheimer Cafe and 'Man With a Pan'!
Mayor Dan Adams (right) selected two very worthy causes for recognition with a High Sheriff’s Certificate for ‘great and valuable services to the community’ of Surrey Heath. Maureen Hulme (centre) accepted the Award on behalf of the renowned Alzheimer Cafe, which caters for their many loyal followers once a month at St Mary’s Church, Camberley.
And preparing an excellent chilli in the kitchen was ‘Man With A Pan’, Robin Van Creveld (centre below) and his team – a great example of community spirit, support and cooperation – all driven by these wonderful volunteers!
Guidance and advice was also available throughout the evening from the expert team from Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, led by Ablen Dacalos (left), who presented a powerful explanation of ‘Anger and Fear’ aa they relate to dementia.
